About Us
Empowering South Africa’s
Learners and Educators
TheRight Choice is a South African non-profit organisation helping learners from Grade 3 to 12 — and the educators who guide them — to build strong reading, study, and career pathways.
We believe that every child deserves equal access to the skills and confidence needed to create a better future. Through joyful reading lessons, practical study workshops, and evidence-based career guidance, we help learners not just learn better, but love learning.
Working alongside schools, parents, and communities, we turn potential into progress — one classroom, one learner, one story at a time.
Our Programmes
How We Help Learners Grow
We support every stage of a child’s learning journey — from early reading to study success and confident career choices.
Reading Programme
Short, daily Phono-Graphix lessons and small-group boosters grow sound awareness, decoding & spelling, fluency and comprehension — with teacher training, easy home routines, and termly tracking to ensure steady progress.
Study Methods
Study Toolbox habits that stick: plan & focus, active reading and note-making, retrieval & spaced practice, exam techniques, reflection and wellness.
Career Guidance
Age-appropriate assessments (SSAIS-R, DAT, SDS, Values, JPQ) with personal feedback and subject-choice advice — so learners choose paths with confidence.
School Readiness
Early checks across physical, cognitive and socio-emotional development identify gaps before Grade 1 — supporting smooth, successful transitions.
